I love me a newborn session! Lifestyle newborn photography is my favorite because when there's a new baby born, there are parents, and sometimes siblings, born too. In this case, a mom, dad, and fur-sister! I think capturing these new relationships is just as important as great photos of baby themself. Another perk to lifestyle newborn photography is that baby doesn't have to be brand-new! This new babe was seven weeks old. No problem, I don't need baby to be tiny and fully asleep, because we aren't trying to contort into a bunch of overly-posed positions. I'm going to give everyone directions so that they look their best, but it's all led by how baby feels comfortable.

Another delight was meeting up with this family later that day to shoot a short sunset session - coming soon to the blog! But for now let me just tell you, we got suuuper lucky with the most gorgeous October sunset.
